Dat Fiya Food Truck

Walking out of Burn lounge I smell something good. I go over to the food truck and was in awe at how clean everything was. I ordered the chicken rice something. Just ask them the actual name. When I tell you the plate was overstuffed and I got it in under :10 minutes. My first mind was thinking nothing special but at least I supported. I tasted the food a WOW is really really good. Like the chicken wasn’t too salty, the rice wasn’t hard nothing. I can’t find error in the plate at all it’s money well spent! Not sure what this sauce is but it compliments the food really really well. I’m so pleased with it that if you order the same dish and don’t like it for whatever reason send me a cash app and I’ll personally send you $5 bucks back. Keep up the good work yall and I can’t wait to catch you at the next event. My podna said the wings were really good but I can’t comment cause I ain’t taste them but I will say if they seasoned anything like this chicken rice then it’s a win. The price was fair I think especially for how much you get.

Absolutely LOVED our food. I had the vegetable hibachi, and my son had the Dat Burger combo. Great service, lovely family. Please check them out!!! DELICIOUS My 2nd time in two days.

I’ve never had a rice bowl like this before. The cucumber and pineapple and the sauce are *chefs kiss* and the chicken is cooked perfectly. The lady that helped me has great energy. I’m definitely gonna be a repeat customer.

I got to try out Dat Fiya Food Truck for the first time today and was blown away! We ordered the seafood and sausage gumbo (delicious!) and the chicken street tacos (WOW!). My husband, who is very particular and often disappointed when we eat out, said these were the best tacos OF HIS LIFE! I got to try them, and he wasn’t wrong, haha. The gumbo was likewise excellent and worth a trip back (loaded with seafood and sausage). I also tried the fried ribs later on and will definitely be back for more of those! I overheard another customer comment that this was the best burger of his life…guess I gotta make another trip. You get the picture; you’ve got to give this food truck a try and support a wonderful locally owned family business. I loved the husband and wife team at Dat Fiya and you will too. They say they make food from the heart, and it shows! Photo is of what’s left of the fried ribs.

One of the best food trucks our business has dealt with over the years. They are professional and are so easy to work with. The food is also amazing. Definitely recommend!

I have been SO OVER Slidell restaurants so today I decided to try a food truck and ommmmggg they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Things I got ! (First let me say I wanted the tacos but most places give small orders so I got a few things ! ) 10/10!!!!!!! The 3 tacos I got 2 shrimp and 1 chicken - they are huge!!! I didn’t need anything else I personally should have done 2 chicken It was all great but the chicken was so amazing Fried ribs - I was amazed by how tender ! It’s fall off the bone quality and if you don’t ask for the bbq sauce you’re missing out .. it was amazing !!!! Smothered okra - I was told there was 0 slime and they weren’t lying there was nothing restaurant quality about this !! And by that I mean it in the best way ! It taste like somebody’s momma cooked this all day ! 10/10 recommend!!!! Boudin balls - also amazing ! They had crab so it was a little more fishy than I am use to ! They serve a sweet chili sauce with it and typically it’s my favorite! But because of the fish taste I think a remoulade would be amazing with this (personal preference) we still ate them up !

I tried the Catfish Special, the Big O Burger, and the Rice Bowl. All I can say is WOW! Everything was bursting with flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The catfish was well seasoned, crispy on the outside and tender inside, the Big O Burger was stacked and juicy, and the Rice Bowl had the perfect balance of textures and sauces. Great portions, fair prices, excellent service, and food that absolutely delivers on taste. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!
